BY JULIA MANCHESTER - 03/14/18 08:49 AM EDT
Former GOP Rep. David Jolly (Florida) said on Tuesday that his take away from the special election in Pennsylvania's 18th congressional district was "Madam Speaker," referencing a potential Democratic takeover of the House in the 2018 midterm elections

Jolly's tweet appeared to foreshadow the possibility of Democrats taking control of the House of Representatives in the wake of Democratic candidate Conor Lamb's declared victory in the district.
Rep. Rick Saccone (R) has not officially conceded.
The district, which went for President Trump in 2016 by a 20-point margin, was once considered a safe Republican seat.

(10,437 posts)Hell I hope thats the way they want to run all their candidates....we can run on the issues on how these same republicans allowed trump to be worse.....
in 6 months, I doubt our economy is going to be untouched by coming tariff wars, and god knows how much more trump is going to fuck up.....
we make the election about who/what can be the antidote to trump and the republicans who made him the problem....

I think with republicans, it's like they have a gene that that always keeps pulling them "home". Party over country.
