Back in the day, ammunition was loaded into a built-in rifle magazines with a stripper clip.




Today, stripper clips are used to load detachable magazines.



This dumb draftee wishes I had a nickel for every discarded clip I saw on every military fort, camp, and reservation I had to traipse through.

all the deer and wildlife in the area clear a mile radius. If you shoot 2-3 times, you've done it wrong. You don't rapid-fire at deer. Even ten rounds is overkill. You miss, you got plenty of time to reload.

I have long believed that if you need an assault rifle and 15 rounds (or more) to "hunt" that you better bet cutting through some bad bush hunting "Charlie" still because there are no wildlife or hunting targets that require that level of firepower or reload capacity.

This is not a hard thing to understand...you cannot legally own a rocket launcher or a tank or many other things that fire projectiles and bullets. You should not be armed to the teeth in civilian settings or in hunting trips. The idea is not to take down a herd for the love of god...
