Already seeing a lot of speculation about this. It's safe to assume McEntee is out at the WH because he couldn't get a security clearance and Kelly (not Trump) wanted him out. Having the Trump campaign give McEntee a job immediately lessens the chances that he'd consider doing interviews or a book about Trump.

(3,335 posts)who does that???? I personally think he's doing it for the money, get as much as he can in case he's impeached, because no one's monitoring presidential campaign spending at this point, because there's no f'ing presidential campaign currently, but his. Also, he knows that candidates who have excess campaign funds get to decide for themselves what to do with those unspent funds. They can give it to other candidates, etc. We know that in the last campaign, the Dotard funneled a lot of those campaign contributions through his "family owned businesses" (no doubt set up explicitly for that exact purpose) and there is no reason to believe he won't do it for the next campaign, starting two years and nine months early.
We saw a couple of weeks ago how much 'Presidential Seal' and 'MAGA' shit he is selling in the Trump Tower gift shop and I'm certain he's got similar gift shops set up at all his golf clubs and hotels around the world, and I'm sure that they have nothing to do with the campaign. That's all personal profiteering. No previous president has ever done this while in office. They normally set up a Presidential Library, and in it a gift shop, when they leave the White House, but that's when they are out of office, not a year and 2 months into the first term. That's because the others followed the Ethics Rules, but the Dotard fired the WH Ethics Director from the outset and I don't recall hearing about his hiring a replacement. If he did, it's someone who obviously cowtows to his demands, government ethics policy be damned.
