I really don't bother with MSNBC or much cable news. It's all gotten to be repetitive, breathless, breaking news, infotainment. I will catch up on things via the internet and PBS Newshour along with some local stuff.

It's true that every once in awhile, he takes the right stand on something. But overall, he's just another obnoxious blowhard with too much power.

Yellow-Blond hair and goofy attitude.

Seemed like a good idea at the time.

and his penchant for fast talking, etc. (has nothing to do with Twitter, as he got the name long before social media was a thing).

And I wasn't the biggest Tweety fan, but I did value his insight as a former staffer.

Now -- it's just too frustrating and he's often all over the place with his thoughts.

and I call them on it. Not saying it's a northern thing just my friends up there do it quite often. Just shows your ignorance of not listening to the other person, just wanting to get your point across sooner. It happens to people often who pause between sentences... they get stepped on in the conversation..
grrrrrr..

especially the regulars. Think about it: You're going on Tweety's show. You're guaranteed to get paid, even if it's not much, and you might not even have to say anything! Overall, Matthews is okay. He knows what he's doing and is trying to recreate a banter and cross talk sort of atmosphere. Sometimes it works. Usually with his regular guests who know when to jump in and keep talking.

Yes, he redirects but the vast majority of the time it is in the correct and more interesting direction. He doesn't allow the canned talking point of the day.

He's not going to give you everything. That's the problem on this site. Everyone wants everything to be slanted in the blue direction. Meanwhile, there's a reason we got stuck with Donald Trump. Listen to Rachel Maddow like a lemming and you'll want to believe it was never possible, and you'll pretend it couldn't happen again in 2020. Chris Matthews will jolt with the knowledge that it's damn sure possible and we best wake up to it, and figure out how to counter it.
