I hate graphical memes!
I've been snoozing people who post them
They suck and make facebook into a bobblehead echo-chamber.
Im wrapping up my content...
Was nice for a bit.

(4,835 posts)But - too many are created to mislead and deceive without thinking.
I dont make mine to "go viral" - but just for momentary effect.
But overall - they are clogging Facebook up and making the original thought more scarce.
People dont want to say anything so they just pass on pre-made sentiment

(30,481 posts)Outside of its early direction toward college students, helping bring them together for courses, I never thought of facebook as a place for much deep "original thought".
"I dont make mine to "go viral"" Intent is not needed. A great meme is.

(5,528 posts)If you could dress it up with some kind of picture and shorter text that is slightly misleading and anger provoking.
To answer your question, yes. And it isn't just facebook.

(38,958 posts)a few are okay, some a bit funny, but I have a couple of Facebook friends that seem to think it's important to share just every cat and inspirational meme that are out there. Whenever I am able to do so I hide the post and when possible block the page from which it came. It helps, but seems to be an uphill battle.
