He cannot hear the screams for help coming from the White House. They don't talk anymore.
The Turtle is in deep denial. He is waiting for the November elections to validate him as Majority Leader once again. He is willing to gamble that our country will survive whatever the Madman in the White House might do?
There is no need to talk to anyone. He will just crawl back into his shell and pretend it is all just a simple political skirmish. He doesn't talk to Chuck Schumer either. The Senate is asleep at the wheel and in the deepest denial, as our country teeters on the edge of collapse.
As the White House screams for help, there is no one to hear it. It has become obvious that he cannot run the ship of state by himself. He needs his Party to help him fill positions and to counsel him on the issues but they have given up on him. He doesn't listen.
But, in doing so, they threaten our country's very existence. It is not enough to ignore the flames as your house is burning down. Praying for rain is not the solution.
