In the Santa Barbara area we were alerted to evacuate the area beneath the Thomas fire because heavy

rains tonight will cause more disastrous mud slides.

Last month 18 people lost their lives to the mud slides. Those folks did not get as much warning as was given today.

Our phones make an loud awful sound that you can't ignore when the alert comes over the phone.

The heavy rains are scheduled to begin in a couple of hours.

I hope everyone heeds the warning.
