Jerry Sandusky's wife speaks
BELLEFONTE, Pa. -- The wife of convicted child molester Jerry Sandusky says she still loves him and "he's not who they say he is."
Dottie Sandusky made the comments Thursday to a Centre Daily Times reporter during a brief encounter on a street in Bellefonte, Pa., near Penn State, where her husband was an assistant football coach under Joe Paterno.
The newspaper reported that Sandusky was meeting one of her sons and his friend at a pizza shop, just down the street from where her husband was found guilty of sexually abusing 10 boys.
Jerry Sandusky is behind bars awaiting sentencing. He faces a minimum of 60 years in prison.
Dottie Sandusky testified at her husband's trial last month. She said she remembered most of the men who told a jury that her husband sexually abused them, but she said he never had inappropriate contact with them as boys.
