This chicken sandwich kills fascists. What does yours do?

So the secret to it is that you marinate the chicken overnight in pickle juice. I mean I always thought it was the abject hatred that made it taste good, but no... turns out its just a simple brine.

What does YOUR chicken sandwich do?

If I were a more enterprising gent I would start a tumblr for people to post pics and ascribe meaning to their own chicken sandwiches... homemade or from Chick-Fil-A's competitor's. I mean it ain't like you're lacking in options for fried chicken when you're boycotting CFA. A tumblr would be something to give them a little more red ass over their support of hate groups than just a boycott.

Maybe I'd call it "dick-fil-a" or something similar.

Someone could totally run with this idea.

Chick-fil-a immitation. It isn't near as good and of course McDonald's presents it's own set pf problems for the socially conscious eater.

biscuits are pretty terrible, just greasy and mushy. Chik-Fil-A's biscuits are pretty greasy too but not quite as bad as CFA's.

I make good biscuits too, but I'm in the middle of moving so I may not be able to do that for a while as it takes bowls, pans, etc.

Though I like mine with mayo - a chicken sandwich is the ONLY thing I will touch with mayo on it.

Your recipe reminded me of this post and video, so I thought it would be good to give a link in your thread. The video gives the whole recipe and instructions and then the recipe is also listed.

Peanut oil does add flavor. I had a Chick-Fil-A sandwich many years ago, I remember it being flavorful and moist, and it did have a yummy crust.

The pickle juice adds flavor and moisture and an egg wash does make for a thicker crust. Yours looks quite good, I did remember her saying that a steamed bun is important, but I think wheat bread would be tasty too.

Good luck with all your anti-fascist endeavors

Is it possible to buy jars of just pickle juice without having to buy a whole jar of pickles?

I have not seen it, but then again, I have not looked for it. Apparently pickle juice is also good for hangovers.

Rec dept. we would freeze the extra pickle juice and sell it to the kids during softball tournaments for $0.50 for a 2oz cup. We made more money off the juice than we did from the pickles.

As for hangovers, and why the softball kids liked it so much, my guess would be electrolytes... because its so salty. Similar to gatorade, but I guess pickle juice wouldn't have as much sugar and little girls love pickles for some crazy reason.
