Why has the nepotism been ignored?

Because it simply doesn't matter to Republicans unless it is a Democrat involved. There were laws passed against nepotism because Bobby Kennedy was the Attorney General of JFK. It didn't seem right that the brother of the President should be the Attorney General, the top law enforcement officer in the government.

But with Jared and Ivanka, the Republicans had no problems. Even though any moron could see the problems ahead from a mile away.

But, it was not just nepotism that was ignored by the Republicans. They ignored the emoluments clause of the Constitution. They had no problem with their President making money. After all, he was a businessman.

They ignored all the conflicts of interests of Donald Trump, even though some of them presented national security problems.

So what is a little nepotism in the big picture?

We do not have a Royal family in this country. Money does not buy class or respect. The Romanovs were executed to end Tsarist rule.

The Trump's think they are Royalty. Their shit stinks to high heaven.

None of this shit would be allowed to continue if a dem were doing it. Access to top secret docs after lying about your contacts & businesses, & now we find out he had secret meetings with world leaders. That fucker should be in jail. I'd like to punch that smarmy smile off of Kushner's face.

...in anyone able to rise to the presidency. That's out the window now.

Rather than prosecuting, we are denying that the nepotism exists or assuming that someone else will call it out and deal with it.

If a Clinton or Obama had done any of what Trump has, there would be MASSIVE media attention, outcry and impeachment.
