Why now ?

Nothing happens by coincidence in Washington.

So, why is Jared Kushner being pushed out of the White House at this time? Some might argue that he is only losing his clearance but that he is not being pushed out of the White House. However, I think this is all part of a bigger story, a bigger event, about to happen?

Secrets are hard to keep in Washington. It is possible that General Kelly or someone at the White House has heard the word that Jared Kushner is directly in the sights of Robert Mueller. And it would not be helpful for the White House to have him at the front of the line when the ax falls.

Events are happening very quickly and most of them are interconnected with the Mueller investigation. It is being reported this morning that Mueller is now investigating Trump's deals with Russia before he started his run for the White House. What might be uncovered there?

The nepotism and entitlements are about to come face-to-face with reality. Under-handed deals and lying to the American people do not wear well over time. Kushner is about to discover that there is another world outside his entitled bubble.

if perhaps Kelly knows he has little time left and wants to expose as much as he can about the crime family in power. He does owe allegiance to the country over the executive.

Their behavior has been chaotic and mostly reactions to outside influences. In all areas of our government, Trump has been incompetent.

The scandal surrounding Rob Porter demonstrates the same malfeasance as Michael Flynn's tenure as the NSA. Trump doesn't care if his people are corrupt as long as it's a secret. Once the cat's out of the bag, however, the have to react. After all, they knew about Flynn for weeks (if not more) when it became public and he had to be fired under a pretense. With Porter, it was even worse since he was in his post for more than a year.

Kelly's actions regarding the security clearances look to me more like damage control. It's a reaction to hopefully stanch the bleeding.

Of course, I could very well be wrong. But where we agree is that Kushner-- and Junior-- are going to be dangerous liabilities for Trump. It will be fascinating to watch him throw his family under the wheels of the bus because you now he will!

that Trump will only throw his family under the bus if they are a liability for him.

They are reactive. Their game is to manipulate events after they happen.

He must know that he is going down hard.

All those years of bullying his way as a "business person" (failed) gave him undeserved "success".

He cannot handle his own imminent total failure.

He will try anything to stay where he is.
