Americans support President's school shooting plan

A new poll shows wide support for the latest proposal to end school shootings from President Donald Trump, who recently suggested that he would run unarmed into schools when gunmen terrorized students. Over 95% of those surveyed had a favorable view of the idea, regardless of party affiliation.

Responses from think-tanks were more cautious.

A teachers' union spokesman said the organization was studying the proposal carefully: "We cannot comment more fully until we know exactly which schools the President plans to enter when there is a crisis."

A press release from Americans for Gun Violence stated, "As long as teachers are armed first, this may be a sensible approach."

But on Capitol Hill, both Republicans and Democrats applauded the President's bold leadership.

Mitch McConnell said he expected to see a bill "almost any day now." He said the bill would incorporate the President's ideas but declined to provide details. Paul Ryan added, "Really, just about any bill will be fine, except Bill Clinton."

Meanwhile, a GoFundMe campaign has been launched to install teleportation equipment in the White House and the nation's schools, allowing the President to travel quickly to shooting hotspots.

KQUT sought local opinions from several Kumquat residents.

Frigga Odin, a Trump fan with a hot pink 88 tattoo, said that she had watched part of the State of the Union address at her favorite bar with her boyfriend Tiny. Frigga was shocked when not everyone clapped. Frigga believes that patriotic Americans should always support their President.

Another person told us, "I haven't really even decided whether to vote yet, but now I'm leaning towards him instead of Hillary."

Our mayor also complimented the President. "I'm sure Mr Trump has been studying this problem as carefully as he can."

This would be the best thing for our country that he has ever done.

Given the current administration and his right-wing supporters, "obvious" satire is no longer obvious.

And here I didn't think I'd ever support anything that Trump proposed. Run POTUS run !

He is gonna train for this right ?
Like the FBI could build a "shoot school" for Trump to practice in ? With live ammo fire ? I'm sure that the majority of Special Agents would even give up a day off to put him through his paces.
