Seriously, the House should just turn out the lights in their committee hearing rooms and stop
pretending they are quetioning "witnesses" in any meaningful way. After much fanfare and build-up and chatter among the pundit class, the "witness" strolls in, plops down and proceeds to explain what they may be asked.
When some Democrat asks an "inappropriate" question, the Trumpist smirks and reminds them who is in control of the hearing. Executive privilege has never been claimed and no one has claimed their 5th Amendment privilege. Why should they. A simple arrogant "go screw yourself" seems to work just fine.
Of course, the Republicans on the committee COULD give the Trumpist the choice of answering the questions or facing legal action or contempt of Congress and possible jail. But, it is obvious that they are wholly owned pawns of the Idiot King so everyone, including the "witness" knows that won't happen.
So, turn out the lights, turn the thermostat down and go back to----------what is it you guys do again?
