Doesn't Congress have the authority to limit what type of guns can be sold by passing an amendment or whatever they call it? The president does not have the authority to do so. It was ruled sometime around 2006 or 2008 that the president cannot ban the manufacture of bump stocks as he does not have the authority. That authority is in the lap of Congress.

It's a win win for Prez Gump. He can be all for it (meaning he is raising his approval rating) and turn around and blame Congress for not doing anything (bumping his approval rating higher yet again).

Again if I am wrong please feel free to correct me and tell me what an idiot I am.
