Yeah I remember how important both Time and Newsweek were when I was a kid in pre Internet time.

stopped being in print several years ago. I thought Tina Brown took over and screwed it up more instead of saving it but I could be wrong.

and my family had been since I was a kid. I remember all the covers during Watergate. I switched to TIME mag when Newsweek stopped being in print form. Too bad!

Knew of both - subscribed to Newsweek because I thought they were more towards my own thinking (I know - "know your enemy!" - but I could only afford 1 and it wasn't to be my enemy!). Also subscribed to Saturday Review (google that one, kiddies!).
Yep, these "inter-webs" have changed everything!

My parents subscribed to TIME and my aunt and uncle got Newsweek - and then they just swapped...
