(29,098 posts)Any comments about him on local media skew negative with the constant complaint about rising taxes and left wing Seattle. They have a very constant presence. Property owners here in the Seattle area just got hit with huge property tax increase which has drawn the critics out in droves. I'm not sure where this utopia of low taxes and high quality of life is. But overall I count my blessings every day that I live here and thankful that I am able to afford to continue to do so.
There is a great deal of ignorance and anger on the east side of the state. They have a unique set of issues that come with rural life that they believe are not given equal attention and they seize on the big city issues of our Western Urban Core as proof that liberal policies don't work .. It's two different worlds.
