I keep thinking the whole subject is a way to distract from the basic fact that mass-murder weapons should not be allowed anywhere.
Not to argue with your point, applegrove. It certainly would just move them to different venues. Then we can arm salespeople, fast food servers, and everyone, which is certainly a good business plan for the gun-makers.

(118,696 posts)ban, or better background checks or banning bump stocks or making the age 21 or what not. Still I thought if we could point out the weaknesses in their 'fogging' of the issue it might clear the air for a better discussion. It is gaslighting to say 'the guns are not the issue'.

(51,611 posts)He had no mental health issues, was not affiliated with any groups, was not a foreign "terrorist", not affiliated with any religion, no financial problems or employer/employee issues. The one thing he had in common with 99% of other people committing murder by a gun is that HE WAS A MAN! This makes him a "minority" (49% of the US population is male).
What are we going to do about that? American Men are the issue I see as the most obvious and also the most ignored by EVERYONE! WHY?
