Coffman Trails In Colorado

https://politicalwire.com/2018/02/26/coffman-trails-colorado/

"SNIP........

A new Public Policy Polling survey finds Jason Crow (D) leading Rep. Mike Coffman (R-CO) in Colorado’s 6th congressional district, 44% to 39%.

Colorado Pols: “Coffman supporters are furiously trying to downplay these numbers based on polling metrics, sample size, yada yada yada. But any complaints about this particular poll should not overshadow one important note: This is the first public poll we can recall showing anyone leading Coffman since he was first elected in 2008.”

Play down those polls. Reassure everyone he has it in the bag. That will motivate the Dems to get to the polls and keep the Repubs.

as a former resident of his district I can tell you this happens damn near every election: he trails early in the year but then pulls a win out of his ass in November.

This is the first time a public poll (as opposed to an internal campaign poll) showing Coffman trailing to a named opponent since 2008. Who's right - you or the Colorado Pols website?

This hardly looks like good news for Coffman, particularly given voter antipathy for Republican shenanigans over the last year and a half.
