Fed Ex issues statement

JUST IN: FedEx issues statement on its relationship with the NRA: "FedEx is a common carrier under Federal law and therefore does not and will not deny service or discriminate against any legal entity regardless of their policy positions or political views."

Who said anything about discriminating or denying service? The CEO of Fed Ex is a right wing asshole.

They'd just have to pay the same price THAT EVERYBODY ELSE PAYS.

It's a pivot from the actual premise, and addresses a concern no one has argued. It's a logical fallacy made simply to wrap defecation in a shiny box.

I can see why you think it's fair.

The idea that they must continue to do so because of anti-discrimination law is laughable at best.

8. They're not being asked to deny service - of course they couldn't do that.

They're just being asked not to give NRA members a discount, which isn't a denial of service. NRA members just wouldn't be getting special rates and would have to pay the same as everybody else.

on Mr. Smith... a Republican for sure (but not hardcore) but I would guess the decision is based purely on money and because of their business model, they will not be affected adversely

Never thought much of them in the first place, prefer to use USPS when possible and UPS when I can't.
