A Bellevue West High School student charged with making terroristic threats was ordered held on $100,000 bail Monday in Sarpy County Court.
Nicholas J. Scott, 18, is accused of telling other students that he was going to shoot anyone who would leave the school during a student walk-out for a stand against gun violence. After his arrest Thursday, Bellevue police said they found materials commonly used in making explosive devices in the teen's bedroom.
If convicted of the charge of making terroristic threats, Scott faces up to three years in prison. So far, he has not been charged with being in possession of an explosive device.
To be released from jail, Scott must post 10 percent of the bail amount, or $10,000.
