Okay, what dirt does Trump's personal pilot have on Red Don?

So, he can fly a plane. How does that make Trump's personal pilot the appropriate choice to be in charge of all civilian aviation in the United States? Or the better question: WHY?

This is just how Trump's mind works. He is more interested in loyalty than anything else. Trump's not qualified to run a solvent business, yet that's what he's been trying to do all his life. He understands nothing about Government, yet he ran for President. So, to him a person who can fly a plane can run the FAA.

He's just a champion ass kisser who Trump knows would give his life for His Orange Majesty. Trump doesn't give a shit about blackmail except by people who can actually harm him with their threats--like his Russian creditors, who can call in his debts or even have him killed.

According to gizmodo:

Why does President Trump think Dunkin is qualified for the job? Apparently whenever there were delays on the tarmac over the years, Dunkin would tell Trump that obnoxious delays like that would never happen if the head of the FAA was a pilot.

What other qualifications does someone need to be head of the FAA?

Maybe he can even control the weather, which is often a cause for ground stops. Sometimes ATC won't let you take off if the weather is so bad at your destination that nobody can land. And that's a good thing because you use up a whole lot less fuel sitting on the ground waiting for takeoff than you do holding somewhere waiting for a thunderstorm at your destination to dissipate. I'm sure Dunkin knows that, too; but he was probably just flapping his gums to entertain Trump. Most FAA administrators have been pilots (the only recent ones who were not were Jane Garvey and Marion Blakey) and I don't recall that any of them, pilots or not, were able to prevent ground stops. For that matter, the current acting administrator is a pilot.
