Does it feel like the investigation is reaching "critical mass"?

That something is about to explode?

How can a criminal like Trump cover his tracks for so long? The FBI has probably had him on their radar for decades? Some folks believe he has been engaged in criminal activities for at least 40 years. But he continues to rollick along, out of the sight of authorities.

Does anyone actually believe that he is not involved with Paul Manafort in money laundering, albeit on a much larger scale?

Does anyone truly believe that he has not been the conduit for Russian oligarch money being laundered in this country and around the world?

Unfortunately, Mueller will never be able to conclude his investigation in a fair and credible manner unless the Republicans and Democrats in the Senate help him with his job. If they continue to obstruct, as Mitch McConnell and the Republicans are doing, it will never end with justice being served.

1. The congressional hearings are for show, or they'd be producing solutions to Russia's attacks

As long as Russia's meddling in our elections inures to the Repugs' benefit, all we'll see from Congress is delay, distract, obstruct.

Fortunately some of the states are taking action on their own, for example by creating a paper trail of votes.

mueller's grand jury will continue, slowly indicting as they reach for the top dogs. Could be 3 months, 6 months, a year but no federal prosecutor rushes the process as its all about all loose ends neatly tied up. Trump and republicans can no longer legitimacy claim no russian involvement in 2016 election outcome as they have done up to now. They will message deflection and berating mueller. Niether will work with the public who 55% have had enough of trump and his corruption. If 2018 November election is based on GOP defending a hated and corrupted president, their defeat will be massive.

...which the FBI has wanted to do for years. But they never had the money or the authorization up to now. They want to catch all the world-wide criminals. But if they catch just one, the one in the White House, they will have done the world a great service.

6. IMO, Mueller's investigations do NOT depend on the cowardice or truthfullness of GOPers.

Subpoenas are not dismissed because Congressional GOPers don't like them. Nor are indictments dismissed. Congressional footdraggers have their own agenda that's worlds away from Mueller's investigations. Consider that there will ALSO be indictments of GOP Congresspersons, so at some level, GOPers' motivations for footdragging converge with their criminal actions and their reluctance to face the music of Mueller's real and persistent intent.

...but this gang is different. They go by the golden rule - those who have the gold make the rules. It is nice to think that the process of indictments and justice will continue, but I am not so sure about that?
