Media Matters On Miller Show - The Police Could Not Seize Cruz's Guns W/Present Laws.

Governor Scott signed very single pro NRA bill in the Sunshine state. Even if the cops knew about all those weapons they could not seize them. If they did the NRA would have provided Cruz a lawyer. Plus Cruz would have had to have surveillance. He could not legally be arrested because he had not YET committed a crime. Plus he could have openly carried that weapon for all we know.

Now if he were black or brown or a Moslem they would have shot the place up.

like assault. He could have, and should have been arrested, and when that happened his weapons probably could have been seized. Why had he never been arrested? Who knows. That should be investigated.

Do you have any links to to show that the NRA provides lawyers?

His threats were enough that a restraining order could have been issued with terms mandating he not possess firearms or go within 1000 feet of a school until he sought psychiatric treatment and satisfied the court that he wasn’t a danger. At that time any firearms could be seized.

Had he been prosecuted for his fights, his threats, etc that could have established a pattern for the courts to see. There were in fact a lot of crimes that were prosecutable that were not. Looking at all the history it looks like at every step they avoided any prosecutions for some reason. Looking deeper I see that County was big into lowering the rate of juveniles sent into the justice system- they may have taken that too far and allowed this to happen by inaction and constant diverting him away from the courts.
