There is an ominous cloud hanging over this investigation that could be removed by a simple vote to support the investigation but McConnell refuses to act? What will he say when Mueller is fired and there are not enough votes to continue the investigation? This appears to be the direction we are headed.

(111,103 posts)But once Mueller is gone, I do not see the investigation continuing in a credible way. It will, for all intents and purposes, be over.
One man, Donald Trump, will be proven to be above the law. Once that is permitted to happen, the idea of justice in our country will have been dealt a fatal blow, in my opinion.

(58,785 posts)almost all honest observers believe it is far too late for them to hold their current power in congress and state legislatures, no matter what they do. The question is how bad their losses will be.
I'd like to point out that jailing traitors is not the biggest battle here and now. FIRST we get control of congress, then we can tend to what the Republicans refuse to.
