Put A Squad Of Infantry In Every School. Pentagon Just Got More Money.

As large as our military budget is we could put at least one squad of Army or Marine infantry in every school including our colleges. Now a college would need a full company. Just station them on the grounds. Besides you could recruit students too. It would work well in high schools and colleges.

A squad is about 8-12 and a company has over 100 infantry. So there would be better coverage. If you want to fortify schools that strategy is the way to do it. They could get practice by patrolling the school all day long in full gear. They would be role models. They could even lead the pledge of allegiance and raise and lower the American Flag.

I am surprised the GOP has not come up with that idea. At least a shooter would be out gunned.

But the majority of that budget is being directed to new toys, not personnel! There are no plans to reactivate any of the many deactivated Army combat divisions...the money will be directed towards improved UAV's, F-35's, F-22's, and even another Gerald Ford class aircraft carrier...and other miscellaneous naval vessels!
