I think its a pretty inappropriate question to ask a daughter if she believes the accusers of her father when hes affirmatively stated theres no truth to it. -@IvankaTrump

(9,959 posts)...because Trump says it, it must be true? When did he become an honest person? She's a liar, just like her father.

(13,069 posts)Her hypocrisy should be ignored. Her dishonesty celebrated. She should only be asked about flowers and butterflies.

A representative of the White House however, should be asked that question. Her role in this administration is not daughter, it's Assistant to the President.

(2,593 posts)You've defended Ivanka in several threads this morning, about her role in South Korea and her reply to an interview question about her father's abhorrent behavior toward women.
I'm curious about your perspective.

(2,593 posts)I don't think she's intelligent. I think she's a grifter like the rest of her family and I think she is totally unqualified to be involved in international affairs.

(37,648 posts)Come on...it doesn't matter what she thinks about what. But this was a gotcha question that she CAN'T answer w/o saying her father is a liar and a molester, which she CAN'T do. Still, she didn't say "No," she did not believe the accusers, did she? Very telling.

She's right in the middle of the very public Trump sewer...if she's "representing" her father and the United States at the Olympics then every question about the orange menace is on the table...

(14,249 posts)Cool. Pull her West Wing pass and security clearance (oh, that's right, she couldn't manage to qualify for one of those) and tell her to take her ass up to the family quarters and keep it there.
Otherwise, if she's going to keep parading around the world as some sort of official representative of us on OUR dime, we get to ask her any question we damned well please.

(6,799 posts)She is not functioning as a daughter but as a so-called representive of our country. The reporter has every right to ask a question about a subject that is in the public forum.
