(23,248 posts)(I'm no artist, so I couldn't draw it out...another story) TV news anchor with his hands in the air, and from the side of the set, an outstretched arm, pistol in hand pointed at the anchor, and he's saying, "...and now, for an alternative point of view from the NRA."
yeah. They're holding an entire nation at gunpoint. Time to call the f&uckers off.

(19,863 posts)do all it takes to keep it going. We need sensible gun control laws, and the first is to take ban folks from buying weapons of war like AR-15s.

(98 posts)Letting people own weapons of war failed as a sanity test in the US. It's time to end the experiment.

(4,291 posts)His lords-and-masters are pissed at Delta for doing the responsible thing: cutting ties with the NRA.
The state House had approved a tax break that could provide a $40 million benefit to the airline, but members of the Senate vowed to fight the deal after Delta dropped its discounted fares Saturday for members of the NRA.
Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle, a Republican, vowed Monday to kill any tax break for Delta, which is headquartered in Atlanta, unless the airline revived its discount program.
Corporations cannot attack conservatives and expect us not to fight back, Cagle said.

So, a twisted, demented interpretation of the Second Amendment outweighs the whole free market system that conservatives have preached for decades. Got it.
Hey, Delta! Move your headquarters to another state. I'm sure free-marketers in other states would love to offer tax breaks galore to move that many jobs there. How's that for "fighting back"? Go back to growing peanuts, Cagle.

(10,832 posts)75 million. The NRA boasts of a 5 million membership base. That's less than 10 percent of the gun owners in the country, the majority of whom support sensible gun regulation.
This is a case where a clear minority is setting the agenda.
The truly chilling estimate is from the CDC and FBI: there is an estimated 300+ million guns in circulation, nearly 1 for every man, woman and child in the US.
Dana Loesch's 'fellowship of gun owners' is a gigantic crock.
But I think most here knew that.
