Bice: Former Sheriff David Clarke files for divorce in Milwaukee County

.................Clarke, 61, filed for divorce from his wife Julie in Milwaukee County Circuit Court earlier this week.

The two have been married since 1996 and live on the city's northwest side. They met during a double-homicide trial in which Clarke was the lead detective and she was a court clerk. She later became a real estate agent.

He also created a new company called DAC Enterprises, based in Maryland, and is working for two conservative think tanks, the Capital Research Center and America First Action Policy.

This week, Clarke has been in the news for his conspiracy theory that the children who survived the brutal Parkland, Fla., school shooting last week are actually operatives of liberal billionaire George Soros.

This weekend Clarke is speaking at CPAC, the annual gathering of conservative activists and Republican leaders in National Harbor, Md.................................................
