They could care less if they are banned.
They are about making money.
That is why the NRA supports banning bump stocks but not raising the age to purchase AR-15s.

(14,559 posts)The NRA has arrived at the conclusion that support for banning all semi auto guns is reaching a tipping point. Throw a bone; ban the thing that makes a semi act like a full auto and save the real culprit which is a semi auto gun of any kind.

(8,336 posts)They make no direct money but some of the appeal of the AK-AR type of gun is the Rambo thought of going Automatic. The bump stock gives the best of both worlds, a cheap way to get the Automatic Rush and no need for the background check ( tax stamp and ffl ) that goes with it. Some AK/AR's are sold with the intent of buying the bump stock and "Going Auto" So although Bushmaster and others dont sell bump stocks, they do sell guns based on the availability of them and large capacity magazines. 10 round Mag and no bump stock makes the gun a little less exciting.
