The late scene of the firefight with the Americans and Germans is a good graphic of what a real fire fight would look like. In a way these massacres might be very similar with regards to the chaos.

(11,949 posts)During the last scene at least the Americans were able to defend themselves, although it looked dire.
On the beach they were sitting ducks with no way to fight back. Just like school kids facing a a semiautomatic weapon.

(1,370 posts)That's why the beach was so freaking crazy, you're either hit or not - nothing you can do. Just try to get off the damn beach, out the damn school.

(10,602 posts)fighting soldiers. Just all the bullets flying everywhere from both sides. They were not aiming in many cases they were spraying the area.

(17,931 posts)Our natural inclination is to run and hide. It takes significant training to get people to fight and risk their lives in a coordinated fashion. It's just not natural.
That's why poorly trained blow hards are most likely to piss their pants. OH, but we should arm teachers or rented security when even law enforcement freezes in place.
