Theres little point in adding to what Samantha Fuentes says about Trump.
Samantha Fuentes, who was shot in both legs during the Parkland assault, said she had felt no reassurance during a phone call from the president to her hospital room last week.
Ms. Fuentes, who was left with a piece of shrapnel lodged behind her right eye, said Mr. Trump had called the gunman a sick puppy and said oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, like, seven times.
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/22/us/politics/trump-talking-points.html
Trump opens with a line about how shes a fan of him. No doubt a lie. But beyond that, why would any thinking person even think to bring that up under such circumstances?
By the way, Samantha still has shrapnel behind her eye.
.
Samantha Fuentes, only 18 years old, is impressive.
In another interview, she poses a very simple proposition.
I dont know how Columbine wasnt enough. I dont know Sandy Hook was not enough. I dont know how the Las Vegas shooting was not enough. I dont know how the Pulse nightclub was not enough. I dont know how any of it was not enough. But now it is. This is enough for me. This is enough for my message, this is enough for my platform, and Im not gonna let anyone stop me.

BTW my republican senator sent me this crap ..... the Russian problem is propaganda and disinformation .....
not an act of war by a hostile foreign power. BTW part 2 the Trump/repub people who helped Russia in their
attack on America are to me like if Americans helped Japan in their attack on Pearl Harbor.
Dear xxx,
Given your interest in addressing Russian propaganda and disinformation, I wanted to update you on my recent legislation to counter Russian aggression at home and abroad.
I agree that we must do all that we can to verify the precise nature and extent of Russias involvement in the 2016 presidential election, and to respond accordingly. However, Russias interference also illustrates a much broader and long-term problem of how sophisticated foreign propaganda and disinformation can undermine U.S. and allied values and interests. Keeping America safe requires us to adapt alongside the threats we face, and I believe the United States has been too slow to adapt to the disinformation campaigns of our adversaries and competitors (including Russia, China, and terrorist organizations like ISIS). This threat existed long before the 2016 election and will continue to be a major problem long after the public discussion of this election fades. I have been working tirelessly with my Senate colleagues to address this threat.
As you may know, on July 27th the Senate voted to pass H.R. 3364, the Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act, by a vote of 98-2 with my support. Along with punishing North Korea and Iran for their destabilizing and threatening activities, this bill contained important Russia-focused language based on the Countering Russian Influence in Europe and Eurasia Act, sponsored by myself, Senator Cardin (D-MD), Senator Coons (D-DE), and Senator Reed (D-RI). This legislation both bolstered existing sanctions on Russia and imposed new sanctions on certain Russian actors, including those conducting malicious cyber activity on behalf of the Russian government and those doing business with the Russian intelligence and defense sectors. H.R. 3364 also included my initiative to strengthen U.S. efforts to counter Russian disinformation and propaganda across Central and Eastern Europe. On August 2nd, President Trump signed this important bill into law.
Additionally, my Countering Foreign Propaganda and Disinformation Act, which I introduced with Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT), was signed into law as part of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) in December 2016. The law is designed to improve the ability of the United States to counter foreign propaganda and disinformation from our adversaries by establishing an interagency center the Global Engagement Center (GEC) housed at the State Department to coordinate and synchronize counter-propaganda efforts throughout the U.S. government.
Most recently, President Trump signed the FY 2018 NDAA into law, which included new language authored by me and Senator Murphy that builds upon the successes of last years NDAA. The new language promotes more seamless coordination between the Department of Defense and the State Department in countering foreign propaganda and disinformation. By better coordinating and synchronizing our governments response to foreign propaganda and disinformation, the United States will be more successful in ensuring that our ideas win while the propaganda used against us, our allies, and our interests will fail.
However, we must also be aware of and address more overt forms of Russian aggression. I was pleased that the FY 2018 NDAA included another amendment of mine which builds upon FY 2016s and FY 2017s initiatives to supply security assistance to Ukraine. This years bill authorizes $350 million in security assistance, including lethal and non-lethal equipment, training, and technical assistance to help Ukraine fight and win the civil war that Russia has fueled in the eastern part of the country for years. For the first time, the amendment also authorizes assistance to bolster Ukraines naval capabilities, which were severely degraded following Russias seizure of Crimea in 2014.
As a U.S. Senator, my first and foremost duty is to defend the United States and the freedoms we enjoy. I have been proud to support all of the above pieces of bipartisan legislation which protect America from threats which attempt to undermine our democracy.
Thank you for interest in this issue. For more information on my work to counter Russian aggression and support U.S. interests and values, you may visit my website at www.portman.senate.gov.
Sincerely,
Rob Portman

Russia is way deep into the Republican party.
Before Trump formally announced Pence as his vice presidential candidate, it was Manafort who made sure it happened, The New York Times reported last year.
Trump had hesitated to settle on Pence, who was governor of Indiana. Trump was fielding last-ditch appeals from New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and publicly said he had not made a final, final decision until advisers like Manafort reminded him of the importance of uniting the GOP around conservative Christian values.
CBS News reported that Pence was Manafort's "first choice" and that Manafort even lied about mechanical problems on Trump's plane to make the soon-to-be GOP nominee stay an extra day in Indiana to get to know Pence. In a phone call, Manafort assured Trump that Pence was the right choice and made a case that won over the real estate tycoon.
Manafort would later downplay his behind-the-scenes choice, telling the Times that Trump never seriously doubted Pence.

So his handlers are saying, "President Trump, your excellence, most highly intelligent big brain, you need to call a survivor - you are getting killed in the fake, failing press. Plus, your deplora - I mean your base wants to see you comfort the victims."
Trump: "Alex Jones says this is a fraud"
Handlers: "Ummmm. Ummmm. Ahhhh."
Trump: "How about that hero first responder - you know, the officer stationed at the school to protect the kids?"
Handlers: "Ummmm. Ummmm. Ahhhh."
Trump: "Have you seen my diet coke?"
Handler 1: "Sir, your most benevolent and kind, we understand one of the survivors is a HUGE fan of yours, and cannot wait to speak with you."
Trump: "Why didn't you say so you incompetent buffoon. Your fired! Handler 2, get that fan on the phone!"
