At this point, my reply is "just shut up. You had a chance, law abiding gun owner, you decided to stop everything. It's over, there will be aa assault gun ban. 70% of the country has turned away from you. Suck it! "

But where were you all? Were the hunters and sport shooters marching for sandy hook? Columbine? What exactly were all the hunters and sport shooters doing? Lobbying congress? I seemed to have missed that. I get it, its not right to lump all of you together and you took offense to it, but you cant on the flipside lump all of you together because of what you or a couple of you think when the majority of hunters and sport shooters have done virtually nothing on this subject.

It's time to stop trying to talk to the other 20%. There is nothing to be gained by doing so.

All our effort should saved for electing democrats and strangling the NRA and passing those dozen measures, then talking about the next dozen.

He started off that we were never going to ban assault weapons in Florida to admitting that he could have just as much fun shooting his other guns. Plowed through his lame excuses about fixing the problem with mental health laws and better policing. He reluctantly admitted that semi-automatic military style weapons are the problem. One down a bunch to go.

What they will do is endless yadda-yadda-yadda that runs out the clock but never deals with any real issues. Forget 'em.

When one of these assholes says Let's have a respectful conversation, what they're really saying let me hem an haw and drag my feet fight every attempt you make to save the lives of children. Screw that. There's nothing to talk about that hasn't already been said. They need to shut up and show they're serious and do something. Talk is cheap.
