This was a big topic after the Ft. Hood shooting and military brass and ex-brass came out en masse and squashed the whole thing.

We should just be presenting the "arm all teachers" as rantings of insanity. It isn't worth rational response.

Armed Marines at the gate of course. Antique inoperable Springfields in Boot camp. The firing range was a whole separate area where you needed a specific pass to enter. Shore Patrol only carried night sticks.
