My Trump-voting teaching partner is now a Democrat.

I love my partner. She is young and had not been "woke." We had not discussed politics since prior to the election, and even then I wasn't pushy about anything. She had voted Trump on the advice of her pastor, had been steeped in Hillary-hate, but Parkland changed everything. We teach second grade in Texas and she will be voting straight Democrat in early voting.

I have high hopes that we will one day take that state back from the forces of darkness. Every vote helps.

this MEpublican colleague apparently said, "You better not let that get out. People around here don't like Democrats." I can attest to that. My John Kerry sign had me on the outs with several neighbors for a spell.

Another teacher across the hall, a Trump supporter, is aghast that this is his answer.

I'm glad she finally picked through the religious-based brainwashing and got her priorities straight.
