The Fairness Doctrine was repealed 30 years ago.

The result is 63 million morons who voted for an Idiot to be president. And a society that seems to be obsessed with guns and/or is willing to believe guns are the answer for every problem.

It was a chain reaction that started with repealing the fairness doctrine.

They could not spew toxic right wing hate without being interrupted periodically by a different point of view.

It would be harder to sell the alternative universe that some RW loons live in if a liberal talked on their radio once in a while.

on the German populace and wanted to institute a measure in the US that would keep similar propaganda efforts from happening here. With its repeal we now see what they originators were afraid of.

With media deregulation in the 80s came RUSH and Hate Radio; FOX TV in the 90s with the 1996 Telecom Act deregulation.

Trump is quietly working with the FCC to allow Sinclair Broadcasting to buy up all the media they can. In the areas they own stations now they only allow right wing news and responses. It is dangerous and more so now that there is so much other shit is going on distracting what they are doing.
