A 20 yo with expired id can buy a gun, but not vote

The kid talking to Dotard made excellent points and was on topic, but I wanted to cry out that GOP suppression means that it's easier to get an assault weapon than cast a ballot.

1. Maybe if we suggested no ID for voting if no ID for gun purchases.

But allow a concealed carry id.

All the better to make sure the "right" people get to cast a vote.

3. Most 20 yo do not have an expired ID

I've hired several people between 18-21 and processed the HR paperwork (federal I-9 form requires photo ID and proof of work eligibility). Most states have their minor drivers license expire on your 21st birthday, when the ID format must change (minor's licenses are vertical, 21+ is horizontal). Just speaking from personal experience from processing paperwork from over 100 under 21's.

A school ID or passport may have expired at 20.
