Um.... State's Rights? (and local too) on guns in schools

Haven't seen this mentioned.

Trump's cockamamie idea about arming teachers tramples all over state and local autonomy over not only gun regulations but control of the schools. Yes Federal funding allows for certain standards to be set the Feds but schools are usually managed by the state's and localities.

In Virginia teachers are state employees and the counties/cities have authority over the school curriculum, rules, and performance.

Gov. McAuliffe signed Executive Order 50 that banned guns on state grounds with exceptions for law enforcement and those specially authorized.

What we have seen in the last 24 hours is this. The NRA and the GOP have redoubled their efforts to keep things the way they are. And the Messaging coming from the Idiot in Chief and his Party in complete lock step with the NRA is we run the show,and now go to your corner and STFU.

Only way to make change is vote these people out once and for all. We are seeing History repeat itself were the Kids make it happen,and it is our duty as the Old People to Support them and get the hell out of the way.
