The chance that there are so many Democrats running, that they basically suck vote away from each other and none of them end up with enough.

That brings in all parts of the party and establishes our strategy going forward with the candidate that gives us the best chance to win. I know that is too pragmatic for many but idealism in some cases means you lose.

We could call such body the party establishment or how about the Democratic Congressional Committee. Like it was done when we dominated politics is the 40s 50s and 60s.

needs to be able to step in and knock some heads together and keep this kind of amateur-hour crap from happening. If every dumbass with a hobby horse wants to run that’s fine, but they don’t get to claim the legitimacy of the party in the process.

candidate status to proper Democratic candidates, so that people know anyone else is a potential ringer.
