(11,343 posts)is a big lobby entity that typically donates to Republican candidates because of the chemical industry regulations. There is a non_carcinogenic embalming fluid available but it's "too expensive".
Individual morticians usually are on an underpaid salary while the rich owners make profits.

(16,786 posts)When resturants and bars went smoke free in Minnesota years ago, the same ideology was used. Smokers were told to keep it outside. Nor has the hospitality industry suffered much in my state. I see more people dining out without having to choke on some else's smoke.

Where are the jobs going to come from for all the people who would have otherwise died from gun violence?

So if we control gun deaths we cost thousands of American jobs that cannot be outsourced. Maybe that is why the GOP wants everyone armed.

(30,481 posts)I simply disagree with you on face value. How many people are in prison, not working or paying taxes, because of gun crimes? How many people end up in the hospital with gunshot wounds and the county, state or feds pay the tab? What impact will it have on the home defense industry? How many tax payers are eliminated from the pool because they are shot dead each year? How many of those who live through shootings are on SSDI?
I don't see where you have made an argument.
