Its important to let states decide and not have a 'one size fits all' solution.

(12,392 posts)Assign one to each kid as a body guard. We can also make sure they are staying out of trouble and give them a wicked glare when they use foul language. And we carry extra hankies.

(10,749 posts)There are 100,000 public schools in the United States. Some of the schools have a few hundred students, some of them have several thousand. Putting undercover cops In randomly would do nothing. Even when uniformed police are at schools with our school shootings, they have been ineffective.

You're talking about more than double the size of one of the military service branches.

(14,961 posts)With us for a few months. He was 25 and married, we were between 16-18. Long story short, in the end they got their drug bust, and ended up dealing with a pregnant 16yr old(she thought he was 18, certainly didn't know he was married) and an undercover agent that did drugs and had sex with underage girls for months.

Often the cops in schools end up brutalizing the kids when they feel their "authoritah" is not being sufficiently respected.
I don't think it's a good idea to put even more cops in schools.
