If he were running in 2018, he would lose. He won with only 52% of the vote in 2016, and sentiment is strongly against him right now. But, he doesn't have to run, which makes him able to shrug off his current embarrassing loyalty to the NRA.
We need to make sure that we turn out an overwhelming number of Democrats in the 2018 election, nationwide. By shifting Rubio into the Minority Party, we can limit his influence.
