Other countries have different ideas

... Apart from training teachers to detect possible signs of a willingness to commit a shooting, some Swiss police departments have also introduced software designed to spot unusual behavior online. The software, developed by the University of Darmstadt in Germany, was introduced in the region of Solothurn in 2013, an official there confirmed on Thursday. Hundreds of officials in regional agencies are trained at interpreting the automatic results that spot unusual posts on social media or other content published online ...

... Swiss authorities, for instance, have a list of about 2,000 individuals they suspect of being willing to commit shootings. All of them are frequently approached by authorities, along with psychologists.

Other countries, including Germany, have attempted to set up government-led national networks dedicated to spot potential attackers and to stop them before they can pursue their plans. Funding for in-school psychologists was increased exponentially. Teachers at every school are now being trained to act as “trusted personnel,” as a first point of contact either for students who want to seek psychological support themselves or for others who want to raise alarm over the behavior of an individual. Psychologists are then called in to examine each case further.

In a second step, at-risk individuals are barred from accessing firearms. In Switzerland, they are forced to hand over their weapons immediately or are barred from purchasing new ones. Psychological tests are now also standard practice for Germans younger than 25 who want to purchase firearms ...

Gun nutters want unfettered access to ALL weapons no matter what the age or psychological makeup of the individual.

Cause, FREEDOM and LIBERTY! Mentally ill and anger challenged males have their Constitutional rights, y'know! <sarc>

but that's just me unless you have a link of all gun holders. I don't own again although lately I've been thinking of getting one, but my brother has a few as does my son. They are for background checks and psychological make of an individual.

I watched the "listen thing" that trump held yesterday, mostly because I new a CT man was going to be on and talking about his son it was a tear jerker. I listened to all of their ideas and got a feel of our next move as a country.

My outcome, I think action will be taken seriously now when someone who owns a gun shows signs of anger or aggression much like Cruz did. From that we will grow to perfect our gun issue.
