1. Rubio's future

Is toast now. He's a serial liar, and a fraud. He represents the NRA knowing more kids will be murdered by them by refusing to ban assault weapons. Nothing he or Scott, or trump says means anything. They've known all along and chose to do nothing, except take more money from the NRA.

Just because Gov Scott didn’t show up doesn’t mean Rubio is brave.
It just means Scott dissed his own state.

May not be brave, but he at least is doing that....knowing that he would likely be facing an unfriendly audience.

To me that is not such a big deal, of course a Senator would show up. But at the same time I have to give him credit. And he didn't have written crib notes with him like our embarrassing resident of the white house.

Here's a man who thought he could be the leader of the free world yet he doesn't have the spine to stand up for his countrymen.

Loser.

Floridians will probably reelect him. Tells you all you need to know about them.

It's dismaying to watch the politics of Florida from outside your beautiful state. But some things are inexplicable to me.

It stunned me the other day when the legislature wouldn't take any actions on gun control but would consider a bill that pornography presents a clear and present danger to young people.

The governor is as bad as Trump. Perhaps he's worse because Scott knows how government works so his actions are more institutionalized.

I visit Florida half a dozen times each year. While in Pensacola recently, I was playing golf and was paired with three local guys. They were very friendly and we had a nice round together. But on the third tee box, I realized that all of them were carrying handguns clipped to their belts. They were not LEOs. Who needs a gun on a golf course?!

It's dismaying.

But it is dismaying how you can come down here from another state with all your money, play golf, and talk about Florida as if it is some sort of third world country you look down on. If it is so bad here, stay home!

You are obviously ignorant of Florida politics and history. Remember hanging chads? Need I remind you that the election was CLOSE? Don't you remember? Today, Florida is basically a 50/50 state.....

I don't own a gun, btw. I suppose you would assume I do if I live here.

There are some wild assumptions in your aggressive post.

I am a partner in a business that is based in Florida. It's good for both our states' economies. By the way, your state's government makes a huge effort to bring people and businesses from out of state to Florida.

I am far from ignorant of Florida politics and history but I really don't feel a need to prove that to you. Your reference to the 2000 election is irrelevant to my post although it was Florida's state government that screwed with the votes.

I did not suggest that everyone in Florida carries a gun. Since I don't know you, except for your rather ugly post, I make no assumptions about you. We don't have a concealed carry law where I live so it's disconcerting and unusual for me to see a weapon.

In fact, I think Florida is a beautiful state and I have many friends and some family that live there. My dismay is clearly stated in my post: Days after a mass shooting, look what your legislature did! While you may claim that the electorate in Florida is basically 50/50, your state's government doesn't reflect that.

If it cause's a rift in the repubs playbook we should TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE and use it against them! If he votes for closing the loophole in guns shows, gets large capacity magazines banned, and votes to raise the age to 21 to purchase a weapon. Then i say use him!! not like him but USE HIM!
