(6,395 posts)He knew she was going to hang herself....and allowed her to proceed.
The NRA obviously had talking points prepared...but they weren't prepared for this, that's for sure. They wanted Tapper to interrupt, to claim they didn't get a fair shake...they did. The NRA does not look good after this...all they had was surmises to better background checks, well no shit, but they are ones who fight against it.

(6,395 posts)...you're not going to get the "guns are god" people...nothing to wake them up...even while they are being shot. However, she didn't just order to move the Titanic too late, she ordered it to hit it head on. And people with some reason, needed to see that.

(25,253 posts)she is however a good spokesperson for the NRA. She's got their talking points down. It's clear this won't change her or her organization.

was like listening to a heroin dealer explain how its the fault of law enforcement, government bureaucracy, and mental health providers that people abuse their product.

(13,421 posts)I actually screamed at the TV a couple times. It was bad. I simply could not get over how condescending she was, and her attempts to outshout or talk over other people pissed me off completely. Not gonna lie, it is much better that I was nowhere near the same state that _____ was in.
I have never had any respect for the NRA. Tonight reaffirmed that.

"CNN contributor Dana Loesch's particular brand of vitriol has been absent from the network's airwaves since July 25. While CNN announced her hiring last year by saying it was "gearing up for the election season," the network has not called on the inflammatory right-wing radio host to comment on political events.."

Loesch's three-month absence from CNN follows what a CNN executive described as her effective but unannounced suspension earlier this year. The suspension came after Loesch responded to news that U.S. Marines had allegedly urinated on the dead bodies of Taliban forces by saying of the incident, "I'd drop trou and do it too."
