1. I think about my fellow submariners who did 90 day patrols twice a year

on missile boats playing chicken-of-the-sea with the Soviet Union.

On the fast attack boats (no missiles) and the old diesel-electric WWII era boats (my boats), we ran noisy interference so the missile boats could go deep and get lost in the depths before the USSR could find them, there was a satisfaction that we were steps ahead of Kruschev and the boys.

Now those same 70+year olders are Trumpies that believe all of Cheetos bullshit and I now look at their patrol efforts as a lost cause and a waste of their time. The Hillary hate is huge with these guys, cattle-gate, Whitewater, etc.
