2. Let teachers carry guns
3. Two doors in every classroom
4. Remove guns from people 'in crisis'
5. Airport-style security in schools
6. Repeal the Second Amendment
I think 1 & 4 are the best ideas that could happen as apposed to wishful thinking.
I know 6 is popular here but we should have a plan B if the votes aren't there for that.

#3 -- Yeah, no, wtf?
I also have an issue with #5 -- kids already are so locked down. And, you cannot take a weapon away from someone who hasn't done anything. Which is why we need strict, very strict gun control.

(25,862 posts)The second amendment does not need to be repealed to put in place strict and effective gun laws. Start with the part that refers to a militia. Require every single gun to be registered. All gun owners must be licensed and undergo yearly training in addition to their militia service requirement. Mandatory insurance on all guns. Mandatory reporting of lost or stolen guns.
Anyone who seriously thinks his or her right to a gun trumps anyone else's right to life needs a wake-up. How I think that should happen I won't post as it would be considered extremely inflammatory and would get this post deleted. But most of you can probably figure out pretty much what I have in mind.
