(31,518 posts)dogs and billy clubs being turned on black teenagers and students that made people really sit up and take notice of the Civil rights movement. Maybe these kids can have the same effect.
I'm sitting here wondering if my grandchildren have had lock down drills for shooters. Will my daughter in law who teaches be expected to take a bullet for her students?
It is just insane that so many people are resistant to even the most common sense, moderate gun control laws.

I have a feeling they are just the first wave of this generation asserting itself. Breath of fresh air, and undeniably authentic.
My mother and my wife were teachers. They definitely were there for the students. Out of all of the challenges they faced, this is one of the most daunting. Discipline has always been difficult, in some schools more than others, but this is a much greater threat than they ever had to prepare for.
We can all see how vulnerable everyone is right now.
