If we want the next generation to get involved and make things better, this is our chance to support them in a way we haven't seen since the Vietnam peace movement. They're speaking in Tallahassee - on CNN now.
Are you going to attend a March?

Silly me, I thought our marching against the Vietnam War, for civil rights, for women's rights, would end these grievous horrors to our system and our lives...

(63,912 posts)victims of war were rebelling against him and his disastrous continuation of LBJ's war...no youth to sign up for fighting, no war.
I feel like I've been through a very difficult, but very important time in this country. Maybe I'll write about it in a memoir...

(13,783 posts)We just have day jobs whose requirements do not permit running over to another continent (even if it's the one on which I was born) any time we want to.
For that matter, I did do just that several times when Obama was in the White House (i.e. when I was invited there), but I had my employer's blessing. That would NOT be forthcoming with the current occupant (and rightly so!).
