The big bell curve of mediocrity found its hero in trump.

I suspect much of his stubborn, unexplainable popularity comes from all of those who think they deserve it all....yet make so little effort to achieve. And they burn with envy about those that have achieved.

Of course this only a small part of the issue (that pesky russian thing is the biggest issue)

And that is why this is such an awful moment for our country - being dragged backward by a huge anchor of willfully unenlightened - because they are afraid of anything more than the tiny world they know. Their emperor truly has no clothes....but they can't see it.

That is the bulk of the curve. More like the 3rd and 4th standard deviation from the middle.

It would be fascinating to see a study that attempts to correlate intelligence with political preferences, especially with regard to cadet bone spurs.
