Some will say that Billy Graham died because he was 99.

I think he died of a broken heart because his son Franklin is such an awful excuse for a Christian and human being.

I was no big fan of Billy Graham, but he was not evil. Franklin is evil.

From The Guardian:

In the late 1950s, Graham integrated his revivals and seemed to support the burgeoning civil rights movement. This is the Graham most Americans remember.
(snip)
Once leaders like Martin Luther King Jr began practicing civil disobedience and asking for the federal government to guarantee African Americans’ rights, Graham’s support evaporated.

Within days of the publication of King’s famous 1963 Letter from a Birmingham Jail, Graham told reporters that the Baptist minister should “put the brakes on a little bit”.

He criticized civil rights activists for focusing on changing laws rather than hearts.

I don't think Graham was a racist like his son Franklin is, but he wasn't supportive when he should have been if he lived up to his "Christian values" which are supposed to be higher than any other values (but aren't).

at least that's what Jon Meacham said on MSNBC this morning. I don't think he was any better than any other "Christian" who ends up fabulously wealthy as a result of their preaching.
